Hello Moffett Families and welcome to the 2018 -2019 school year!

I am so excited to be this year’s PTA President. Moffett is such an incredible school and we are truly fortunate to have a community filled with so many amazing families, students, teachers, and administrators. It is a partnership that makes our school flourish – and each and every one of you help make Moffett what it is.

With that said, I encourage EVERY family to get involved with PTA in some way.

1. Become a Member:  PTA advocates for our children at the state and national levels.  The more members PTA has the louder and stronger our voice is when they are advocating for our children.  It only costs $10.00 for a membership and our goal is to have at least one membership for every student in our school.

2. Volunteer.  Whether you can help once a year, once a month, or once a week, we have a role for you.  Whether you like to work with the students, take pictures, count money, or work behind the scenes, we have a role for you. Just go to to sign up.

3. Support our fundraisers.   It costs about $150 per student per year to fund our programs, like music, field study trips, art masters, assemblies, reading programs … This doesn’t include our stretch goals to upgrade our technology.  We have opportunities throughout the year for you to support us, as well as a direct donation option.

4. Stay Connected. Be sure to check this website often. We are constantly updating and adding new information to our website. Also, be sure to sign up for the PTA email blast. We typically send a weekly email with important information about programs and activities taking place at Moffett.

I look forward to seeing you at Moffett this year! Please join us for our first PTA meeting on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m in the Gallery.

Have a fantastic year!
