Each February, Scholastic hosts our week-long book sale event that gives our students and families access to thousands of affordable books and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading. Parent volunteers work with Scholastic Book Fair representatives to create an exciting bookstore environment in the school Gallery where children can peruse and purchase their favorite books before school, during their designated classroom shopping day, or during the family evening event held that week. The books are arranged in easy-to-access cases and are displayed and grouped by age or grade-level, so it’s easy to find beloved characters and subjects.

Volunteers can assist their own child's classroom during their scheduled shopping day, but are mostly needed when they are free to help other classes during the week. Volunteer positions range from cashiers, to One-for-Books donation collectors, to simply making sure students are guided to age-appropriate selections and have the correct amount of money for their purchase before they reach the register. If you are looking for a rewarding way to step into a PTA program, running the book fair is it! No prior experience is needed, but your annual PTA membership fee must be paid to handle money during any PTA fundraiser. Join us!
