Reflections 2014-2015 year’s theme is…
“The World Would be a Better Place If...”

Please turn in your entries to your teacher or the front office, along with the Reflections Entry Form is attached to the bottom of this page

Since 1969 the national PTA Reflections program has encourages students across the nation and in Americans school to overseas to explore their artistic talents.

The PTA Reflections program is one way you can increase student’s achievement, foster student’s talents, and promote the arts in your home, your school, and your community. Everyone is a winner and is recognized for their artistic talents. 

Entries can be submitted for the following categories
► Film Production  ► Dance Choreography  ► Musical Composition
►  Photography  ► Visual Arts  ► Literature
 
Projects may include 
♦ Pictures  ♦ Picture montages  ♦ Drawings  ♦ Stories  ♦ Poems    
♦ Paintings ♦ Dance routines  ♦ Music compositions
♦ Other ways in which you express your talent!
 
3-4 professionals in the arts industry will judge everyone’s entry. Those who win will move on to the next level that will then be judged with all the winners from Huntington Beach School district. If you keep winning you will move onto the national level that could win a scholarship. All judges will pick a winner from each category.

There will be a workshop to help you with any questions and assistance, we will have a PTA Reflection Gallery night that the winners will be announced and everyone will receive a certificate. Everyone who enters an entry will go to the pizza party with Mr. A, and more surprises to be announced.


Reflections Committee plans and promotes this PTA sponsored art contest in the fall.

How can you help?

  • Making signs & hanging them up at school
  • Typing and printing up the kid’s statements
  • Gathering artwork from classrooms
  • Wrapping art projects with cellophane
  • Hanging up art work in the Office/Gallery
  • Ordering certificates/trophies
  • Monday assembly’s announcements         
  • Pizza Party set up
  • Gallery night set up (award night)
  • Lunchtime Gallery viewing
  • Workshop
This committee works together ensure the school has many students participating in this national contest.  If you love art and support the arts in schools…this committee is for you!
