Moffett Elementary is celebrating Read Across America Week!

February 27th – March 3rd

Wear STRIPES, STRIPES, EVERYTHING STRIPES. Shirts, socks, pants, tights!  Colors don't have to match.  Students must dress according to the school/district dress code.
Turn off TV and electronics for ONE night during the week.  This is not giving them a pass at not completing their homework.  When a student returns with a signed paper saying they have done this, they will receive something Dr. Seuss related.

  • TUESDAY-February 28th - MISMATCH DAY!
Students are allowed to wear clothing that does not match.  Students are encouraged to wear clothing that may not match together.  Be creative.  Socks over your tights, board shorts over  your jeans.  Students must dress according to the school/district dress code.

  • WEDNESDAY- March 1st - READ ME DAY!
Wear clothing that can be read. Students can create an original shirt using old clothing  from home or clothing with pre-printed text.  Language must be appropriate and no writing on clothing will be allowed at school.

  • THURSDAY-March 2nd - GREEN LIKE GRINCH DAY!
Wear GREEN to honor Dr. Seuss's Birthday. GREEN, GREEN everything GREEN! Shoes, socks, pants, shorts, skirts, tights,  ALL GREEN.  Students must dress according to the school/district dress code.
